Scarborough Athletic Reserves held out for all 3 points against East Riding Rangers. Keeper Nick Van Herreden was sent off after 55 minutes for handball outside of the area.
Rangers were playing in there first league game of the season.
The young reserve team also had to come to terms with losing 16 yr old winger, James Palmer after only 2 minutes. He fell badly and broke his collar bone. This set back and good play from Rangers saw Mike Fee go close on a few occasions in the first 20mins.
After a spellof pressure Reserves took the lead with 10 minutes of the half left, Callum Reid's corner was wipped in and evaded everyone before hitting the net.
The second half saw reserves push for another but a long through ball caught the defense napping and when Van Heerden advanced out of goal he handled and ref Kevin Crick showed him the red card.
Reserves hit the post late on through impressive teenager Danny Glendinning, however, a final flurry in torential rain by Rangers saw Eddie Marriott make a last ditch tackle to deny Mike Crisp and Striker Mike Fee blasting wide when well placed.
